To the saints of Stadium Drive.
Wow! School is almost out again! Summer can be a great time to
unwind with the family. Yet, we don't want to take a complete
vacation. God's call to live holy lives, to love one another, and to
proclaim the Gospel to the lost is not meant to be strictly during the
school year. Nor is it only for while we're at work. In fact, some of
those vacation times are the best times to witness to that lost friend.
Summer is also a great time to recharge the "spiritual battery" that can
run so low during the year. I want to encourage you to set spiritual
goals for the summer. Don't get caught in the rut of ignoring quiet times
with the Lord because you are so comfortable around believing family
members. And when you do go out, recognize that God has allowed
you that time for a reason. The people you share with may be hearing
about Christ for the first time!
